The OSKAYAK Garden Project
Richmond Youth Service Agency and is pleased to announce The OSKAYAK Garden Project at Terra Nova Garden.
The OSKAYAK garden project was a two month long project from July 12 to Aug 28, 2009 that focused on living an active and healthy life from a traditional perspective for Aboriginal Youth. Participants of the OSKAYAK Garden Project had access to fresh garden food and medicines and also received a certificate for their participation in the program.

Here's a great video of what Cuba has done to convert urban space into food production. Food production has suddenly become "cool" for young people to become involved in. Very much what the Richmond High garden is starting to be like. Really inspirational:
