He has extensive experience in facilitation and training, marketing and communications, community development, project management, fund development, strategic planning and organizational development. Marshall worked with RYSA as a Manager of Employment and Special Projects for a number of years and then left to take over as an Executive Director for a national youth employment and career development organization. Since then he has worked for the Make-A-Wish Foundation of Canada, with the Aga Khan Foundation on national and international youth projects, developed a career coaching guide for parents used across Canada, and worked with a number of small publications and social service agencies to develop or expand their programs and resources. In 2005 the Board of Directors asked Marshall to come back to Richmond and help them refocus the organization, its' purpose, mission and mandate. "I am happy to be back working in a community with so much passion, energy, and commitment to improving the lives of children and youth. Working with children and youth truly helps keep you grounded in what is important and how much of a difference one person can make."
