Culture Connect

​​Culture Connect will bring together international students, newcomer, immigrant and refugee youth for a social and educational group with the purpose of decreasing social isolation, increasing community connections and reducing loneliness, stress, anxiety and depression, which often accompanies moving to a new home, especially when there are language barriers and cultural differences. The program will provide opportunities for social inclusion, while proving English Language Learning opportunities, presentations and workshops to learn about resources in the community and a volunteer project determined by the youth, which will build leadership skills and confidence.

Calling all Richmond Youth ( aged 13-24) new to Canada and long time residents. Do you have the desire to work with other Youth to make Richmond a great place to live, learn and grow? Join this fun, free program.

Program Schedule

This program is for youth ages 14-24 and will have three groups throughout the year.


will meet July 27,28 August 2,3,4,10,11 from 1pm to 4pm and have another 3hrs for our community project.


will be Wednesdays 3:30-5:30 from October 5 – December 7 plus time for community project.
